With customers spanning the globe, LeddarTech’s Leddar™ technology provides accurate, non-intrusive detection of vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians for traffic management systems. LeddarTech’s technology also provides object detection for advanced driver assistance systems for the automotive market as well as safety systems for industrial applications.

Located in Canada, LeddarTech was launched in September 2007 by three experienced entrepreneurs, following a successful spin-off from Canada's leading optics and photonics research institute, INO (Institut national d'optique). Following two successful venture-backed financing rounds in 2007 and 2009, LeddarTech has established itself as a leader in ranging and detection solutions based on LED technology for the transportation, automotive and industrial markets.

LeddarTech’s engineering experts and specialists combine over 100 years
of relevant experience in the fields of photonics, signal processing, electronics,
microelectronics, software and mechanical engineering.

LeddarTech also offers technical and R&D services (such as product development) specialized in optics and electronics including in the field of object and persons detection using either LED lighting or the LEDDAR^TM technology.
