Marc Tremblay, Eng, PhD
President and CEO, cofounder of LeddarTech

As a serial entrepreneur, Marc has established a track record in successful start-ups and venture capital fund raising. In 1996, after four years of teaching in the Electrical Engineering Department for Québec City’s Université Laval, Marc was successful in raising more than $5M for a high-tech start-up in machine vision. The company he founded was acquired in 2000 by the largest US publicly traded robotics organization.

In 2007, Marc teamed up with two seasoned entrepreneurs, Yvan and Dave, to cofound LeddarTech. Since 2007, Marc has set the pace in ensuring that every milestone has been met and in raising over $8M in capital in two financing rounds.

Marc received his degree in electrical engineering from L’École Polytechnique de Montréal and completed his PhD in microelectronics applied to machine vision at Université Laval. Marc is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (Quebec’s order of professional engineers).

Yvan Mimeault, Eng, MBA
Vice President Technology and Product Management, cofounder of LeddarTech

Following his participation in a successful start-up company as Chief Technology Officer in 1996, Yvan was hired by INO (Institut national d'optique) as a researcher and lead the Electronics Department for nine years. He was then promoted within INO's Business Alliance Group, analyzing market trends in the optics and photonics industry and initiating corporate development projects.

Yvan’s vast knowledge of optical detection systems enabled him to co-invent the Leddar™ technology. Since the founding of LeddarTech, Yvan’s know-how has stood out in the successful engineering and development of multiple value-added products—Yvan has authored over twelve patent filings related to Leddar™ technology.

Yvan is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (Quebec’s order of professional engineers) and holds a degree in electrical engineering. He also holds a MBA degree from Université Laval.

Dave Gilbert, Eng, MBA
Vice President Business development, Sales & Marketing, cofounder of LeddarTech

Following a military career, Dave was hired by Prevost, a wholly owned subsidiary of Volvo Buses. Rapidly promoted, he held several strategic positions, namely as Supply Chain Director for the Parts & service division for the entire North American network. Dave had great success in forging excellent relations with top tier-1 suppliers of the automotive industry. He was without surprise promoted to Business Line Development Director, due to his strategic understanding of the market and entrepreneurial approach. At LeddarTech, Dave has shown great success in spearheading the sales development related to the three target markets—increasing sales by 138% during the first years of the company.

Dave holds a mechanical engineering degree from the Royal Military College and a MBA from Université Laval. He is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (Quebec’s order of professional engineers).

Christian Labbé, Adm.A.
Vice President and CFO

Christian joined LeddarTech in April 2010. He was previously employed by Advitech, a biotech company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, where he held the position of Finance Director before being appointed Vice President and CFO in January 2009.
From 1997 to 2007, he held various management positions in accounting and finance for high-tech venture capital funded companies. He oversaw and implemented various financing and M&A transactions.

Christian holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Université Laval with specialization in accounting, and he is a member of the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec.
